After the 56-33 home victory back in September, Weston-super-Mare will travel to the Mennaye Field on Saturday for the Regional 2 Tribute Ale South West for the return match against Penzance & Newlyn. Kick-off is at 2.30 pm.
As we enter the second half of the league season, Weston-super-Mare will be looking not only to extend their unbeaten run to 12 games but also to complete the first double of this campaign.
Club captain Charlie Brabham returns at loosehead prop to lead the Weston at Penzance, with Ieuan John starting at tighthead prop in place of Will Bamsey, who sustained multiple fractures to his leg in last week’s home win over Tiverton.
The only other change in the pack sees Callum Kingscott at blindside flanker. There is just one change in the back division with Ryan Watterston starting on the left wing in place of the prolific try-scorer Hayden Main.
Penzance & Newlyn, in their first season at this level, are eighth in the table, having won three of their six home games, including Saturday’s 42-20 bonus point victory over Teignmouth.
Ben Wragg moves to the right wing for the hosts, Sam Cahill comes in at full back, and Josh Semmens at inside centre. In the pack, Jamie Eddy starts in the second row while Wes Eddy is at hooker and Dec Prowse at loosehead prop.
The admission charge at Penzance & Newlyn RFC is £5, and their Clubhouse will be open at 12.30 pm serving drinks, tea and coffee, and some food.
Like many other clubs, Penzance & Newlyn RFC have a digital matchday programme. QR codes are located around the ground or the link is https://www.zee-on.com/share-club-content/penzance-and-newlyn-rfc
