Prop Ollie Streeter is set to make his 150th appearance for the 1stXV when Weston-super-Mare return to action from the festive break on Saturday [January 8] in their home Tribute South West Premier game against Brixham, kick-off 2.30pm.

Streeter made his debut for the Weston-super-Mare 1stXV on September 13, 2014, in the 35-22 victory away to Newton Abbott and has scored 13 tries along the way.

Streeter was named in the Bristol United squad, led by Joe Joyce, for the friendly away to Cambridge University on Wednesday, November 11, 2014

He was also named on the Bristol United's replacements bench for the friendly at the Twickenham Stoop on Monday, January 12, 2015, as Harlequins A mounted a final quarter fightback to overcome a 13-point deficit and seize a 24-20 win.

Leading Bristol United that night was lock Mark Sorenson; the props were Gaston Cortes and Ellis Genge, former Harlequins fly-half Adrian Jarvis and Tommaso Benvenuti making his club debut at outside centre.

Keeping Streeter’s company on the replacements bench that night were the likes of Callum Sheedy, Joe Joyce and Jake Polledri.

Weston-super-Mare head coach Darren Crompton, a fellow member of the front row union, said: “Streets is a top man. I remember meeting him, Sam Coles and Mike Hocking before I came to the Club.

"Luckily, we still have two of them playing, and Streets is an excellent asset to this Club. He plays lots of games and is the best scrummager in the league.

"He is a fantastic bloke - is incredible both on and off the field. After the game, he is excellent socially and on the bus from away matches with a few songs.

"He has the voice of an angel – believe it or not - he's our very own Paul Potts but he doesn't sell mobile phones and still has his own front teeth - we think!"

Weston-super-Mare finished 2021 in fourth place by taking 11 from a possible 15 points from their three matches in December with bonus-point wins over Exmouth and Royal Wootton Bassett and a narrow defeat away to neighbours Hornets.

Brixham bounced back from a 55-nil drubbing at Old Redcliffians to beat Bournemouth 26-15 – their first victory over the South Coast side in 23 years to leave them in seventh place, 12 points behind Weston-super-Mare.

When the sides last met in September 2021, Weston-super-Mare came away from Astley Park with a 21-13 victory after The Fishermen had led 10-7 at half time.
