Weston-super-Mare RFC is delighted to announce GSH Projects Ltd as its main stand sponsor for the 2025/26 season. The Club, in its 150th year, has a longstanding relationship with GSH. Gavin Simpson, co-founder and Director of GSH, continues to play for the Club, having joined the Minis and progressed through to the senior section, amassing 157 appearances for the 1st XV.

Founded in 2013, GSH Projects has progressively expanded to provide fit-out & passive fire protection works within the commercial sector. Their client base encompasses student accommodation, social housing, retail, offices, hospitals & local councils. They are a nationwide full-service contractor made up of three divisions: Small Works, Major Projects & Passive Fire Protection.

Scott Hannam, co-founder and Director of GSH, said, “We both come from a sporting background, and to be able to give back and support local clubs in Weston is a privilege and honour. The relationship with WSM RFC is ongoing, and the sponsorship of the stand follows on from works completed and others in the pipeline that support continual improvement of the Club’s facilities.”

Gavin, whose sons Jacob and Fin now carry the playing mantle within the senior teams, said, “This is my childhood rugby club, and it carries so many fond memories. The support from GSH provides current and future players a continually evolving and improving opportunity and environment, enabling them to love their rugby as much as I have.”

Pictured in front of the stand, displaying 30m of continuous GSH Projects signage, are Scott and Gavin with the Club’s Commercial Director, Sam Waterman. “This is another large piece in the overall project that the Club is undergoing. It is exciting times, both on and off the field… and what better year to do it than in our sesquicentennial anniversary,” said Sam.

GSH Projects are also the main sponsor for this weekend’s fixture against Ivybridge, kick-off 2.30 pm With the 1st XV unbeaten this season, we know a target is on our head for all other teams in the league. The United travel to Tor, whilst the Athletic are at home to Hornets 4s on Friday night, kick-off 7.30 pm
