After one season in the Regional 2 Severn league, Weston-super-Mar 1stXV will have a lateral move to the Regional 2 South West league for the 2\025/26 season.

The results of the promotions and relegations in both Regional 2 & Counties 1 leagues have resulted in an imbalance between the Regional 2 Tribute South West and Regional 2 Tribute Severn leagues.

This imbalance was created after the relegated clubs were placed back into their home leagues, and consequently, one club had to be transferred from an adjacent league to the West section.

The regulations request that the South West Regional Organising Committee (ROC) identify clubs with the lowest total mileage in the Regional 2 Tribute South West League.

Two clubs were identified - North Dorset and Weston-super-Mare.

The total mileage, calculated by the ROC using Google Maps, travelled to the clubs in Regional 2 Tribute South West, between North Dorset and Weston-super-Mare, is calculated as follows:

North Dorset – 1810 miles Weston-super-Mare – 1525 miles

Neither North Dorset nor Weston-super-Mare volunteered for the transfer, so the ROC determined that Weston-super-Mare has the ‘Lowest Total Mileage’. It will therefore be placed in Regional 2 Tribute South West for Season 2025-26 as specified in RFU Regulation 6 Appendix 2(a).

The Regional 2 Tribute South West league for Season 2025-26 will comprise Crediton, Cullompton, Ivybridge, North Petherton, Okehampton, Pirates Amateur, Teignmouth, Tiverton, Wadebridge, Wellington, Weston-super-Mare and Winscombe.
