Great servant to the Club on and off the field
The Weston-super-Mare Past Players Association may a presentation to Grahame ‘Benny’ Hill ahead of the Regional 1 South West league game against Matson.
PPA chair Chris Millard said: Grahame, you have been a superb member of the Rugby Club and a great supporter of the Past Players Association.
“You have done us proud over the years with excellent meals always going above and beyond to accommodate us and make our events a success.
“Grahame celebrated his 60th birthday on Thursday, as has been noted in today’s match progamme, along with the statistics for his 760 games, which is a club record number.
"He has played 76 games for the first team, made: 234 appearances for the United scoring four tries, 409 appearances for the Athletic and scored 23 tries, 41 appearances for the Wanderers scoring four tries.”
Millard added: “As a Past Players Association, we thought we must mark such an auspicious milestone for you and the Rugby Club.
“Grahame, on behalf of the Past Players Association, it gives me great pleasure to present this award to you, with our grateful thanks for all you have done and do for our club, both on and off the field.”
