George Papworth

It is with great sadness that we have heard of the passing of Weston-super-Mare RFC’s Trustee and former Club President, George Papworth, this evening (Friday, October 30, 2026), surrounded by his family.

There will be a minute’s silence before Saturday’s home game for the 1stXV against Launceston and Weston Athletic against Morganians.

A full obituary will follow early next week.

Everyone connected with Weston-super-Mare RFC extend our deepest condolences to George’s family and friends.
