Weston-super-Mare RFC are looking to appoint a Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist/Sports Rehabilitator and we have a fully equipped Physio Room.
We are looking for a highly motivated, confident, individual with a focus on sports injury assessment, management, treatment, and strapping.
In addition to this, being able to prescribe individual conditioning programmes would also be advantageous.
The ideal candidate would have experience with sports teams, be flexible and be able to travel.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to work in sport. Experience in a similar environment preferred but not essential, however, you should be confident in your assessment and treatment of acute injuries and longer-term rehabilitation.
The role will provide opportunities to work with individuals across all age groups within the club therefore individuals will be subject to DBS checks.
This is a paid position - rates of pay negotiable depending on experience. Immediate start available for the right candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Attendance at club training nights Tuesdays & Thursdays for injury diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
• Matchday cover Saturday afternoons (home and away fixtures for the 1stXV)
• Communicating with club coaches regarding player fitness.
• Communicating with players and coaches to schedule appointments during working hours.
Person Criteria - Essential
• Relevant academic/professional qualifications
• Relevant Insurance and membership to professional bodies
• Willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to build good working relationships with all key personnel, colleagues, and players.
Person Criteria - Desirable
• Experience in a sport setting
• Understanding of related developments in rugby e.g. Concussion protocol.
