Prop Ollie Streeter will make his 200th appearance for the Weston-super-Mare first team in their rescheduled Regional 1 South West match at home to Exmouth on Saturday (March 9, 2024), kick-off 2.30 pm.

Streeter had been ready to reach the landmark last weekend, but the game had to be postponed after the two captains failed to agree as to whether the match could go ahead due to standing water on some parts of the pitch.

The former Burnham-on-Sea player made his first team debut for Weston in the 35-22 National League 3 South West victory away to Newton Abbot on Saturday, September 13, 2014, after his Club debut the previous weekend in Weston United’s 22-12 win at Oldfield Old Boys.

The match report from the Newton Abbot game states - “Streeter, in a fine debut, was a one-man ‘wrecking ball’, scattering opponents at will.”

While Streeter will be making his 200th appearance, Sam Garrett will make his senior debut for Weston at outside centre having joined the Seasiders from Wells. Garrett has earned his place after good performances in recent weeks for Weston United.

While Weston is propping up the Regional 1 South West table, Exmouth are in sixth place but have not won on the road since mid-December and not won at the Recreation Ground since the opening game of the 2014/15 season.

Weston-super-Mare (home v Exmouth, 2.30 pm): Chris Young; Dom Marshall, Sam Garrett, Bradley McPate, Hayden Main; George Nuttycombe, Dan Lomax; Sam Coles, Gary Carpenter, Ross Chesher, Ashley Russell, Tom Burge, Jay Davis, Tom Sugg (capt). Reps: Steve Donegan, Kieran Broomsgrove, Archie Tilsley.
