Stuart Souch says that joining Weston-super-Mare Rugby Club will enable him to be tested at a higher level of rugby, having previously played for Nailsea & Backwell and been vice-captain at Avonmouth Old Boys.
The 24-year-old was part of the Nailsea & Backwell squad that were crowned Counties 1 Tribute Ale Western North champions last season, but now he faces a new challenge with Weston-super-Mare in Regional 1 Tribute Ale South West.
He holds a Level 2 England Rugby Coaching Award, and by day, Souch is a coach with Switch Rugby, which aims to harness the power of rugby to empower people to reach their potential, both on and off the field of play.
Souch, who can also play on the wing or at full back, played for Somerset last season in Division 2 of the Bill Beaumont County Championship when they faced Devon at Brixham and Buckinghamshire at Taunton.
Away from rugby, Souch is passionate about fitness and enjoys trying out new challenges. You’ll often find him on the golf course or getting stuck into anything that keeps me active and outdoors.
