Weston United took maximum points from their trip to Crewkerne. They ran in nine tries, including four from wing Hayden Main, with fly-half Archie Tilsley landing seven conversions to take the Seasiders up fifth-place in the Tribute Somerset Premier table.
The visitors had secured the try-scoring bonus points before the break thanks to two touchdowns from Main plus one each for wing Mike McCarthy and full-back Ollie Walrond all converted by Tilsley as they went in at half time 28-nil ahead.
Tilsley’s conversion of centre Alex Humphrey’s try early in the second half increased the lead before Crewkerne crossed for their first try. Main completed his hat-trick, Tilsley converted before a second touchdown from McCarthy.
Crewkerne claimed a second try before Main crossed for his fourth try; Tilsley converted, only for the home side to score a converted try. But on the stroke of full time, Walrond crossed for his second try to complete the victory.
