Weston United 82 Old Sulians 10

United continue the previous weeks form as they turn in a fluent performance 

On an excellent day for running rugby at the recreation ground, the United turned in a fluent performance to defeat gallant Old Sulians 82-10.

With the game being controlled by half backs Ross Bennett, and Matt Fotheringham, the pace of Westons all round game proved too hot to handle.

The first half saw Weston score four converted tries and a fifth unconverted try to lead 33-0.The second half saw a further seven tries.

Scorers were Paul O'Connor (3), Jon Filer (2), James Matthews (2), Anthony Gregory, James Arnold, Dave Steeles, skipper Darren Doughty, and Matt Fotheringham, who converted 11 of the 12 tries.

This was a display that showed further improvement, with forwards and backs combining well to keep the ball alive and play a positive style, with several players pushing their claims for promotion to the 1stXV.
