Counties 3 Tribute Ale Somerset South

Weston United 32 Wiveliscombe 2ndXV 20

Weston United, with two games still to play this season, maintained their pressure on the Counties 3 Tribute Ale Somerset South's top two teams, as they outscored visitors Wiveliscombe 2ndXV six tries to three.

The victory, the United's seventh in a row, leaves them third in the table, four points behind Wells, who have three games to play, and another point adrift of leaders Tor, who have completed their season's matches.

Scrum half Keanu Ballard claimed two of the United' tries with one each from inside centre Dan Beer, loosehead prop Maison Turner, No.8 Brad Hebbard and fly-half Chris Young, who also added one conversion.

It sets up a big clash on Saturday (April 25) at Charter Way with the hosts unbeaten in their 17 league games, including last Saturday’s 24-10 win away to fourth-placed Bridgwater & Albion 2ndXV.
