Weston United returned to winning ways in the Counties 3 Tribute Ale Somerset South league with a 48-5 bonus point home victory over North Petherton 2ndXV, outscoring the visitors by eight tries to one.

Second row Ross Chesher and right-wing Eddie Davies both claimed a brace of tries, with one each from inside centre Dan Beer, left-wing ⁠Tom Blyth, second row Sam Light, and fly-half Chris Young, who also added four conversions.

The victory leaves Weston United third in the table, but with a game in hand on the two sides above them, ahead of next Saturday’s game away to Martock, who lost 49-5 away to Bridgwater & Albion 2ndXV.
