Minehead Barbarians 2ndXV 41 Weston Athletic 21
Weston-super-Mare's director of rugby, Mark Matthews, made a cameo appearance for Weston Athletic for the final 15 minutes of their Counties 4 Tribute Ale Somerset South defeat away to fourth-placed Minehead Barbarians 2ndXV.
Matthews, who was a late inclusion in the matchday squad, came off the bench as a tactical substitution for replacement prop Stephen Donegan.
The hosts ran in seven tries in the game with the Athletic's reply coming through touchdowns from tighthead prop Ryan Donegan, loosehead prop Lucan Williamson and Matthews with fly-half Adam Budd converting all three.
The defeat leaves Weston Athletic sixth in the table with just one game remaining, at home to Wells 2ndXV on Saturday (April 25), kick-off 3 pm.
Wells 2ndXV are fifth in the table, with two games remaining, just two points above Weston Athletic.
